Take a little time to get yourself organized. We all tend to run, run, run…in order to catch up. We need to meet deadlines, we need to get through and over the next hurdle, we need to get a program out, a project out, etc. And what happens when the “back end organizing” of that is not completed? Right. Stuff falls through the cracks. Effort gets wasted. Eventually, when we do this enough, we get burned out.

Let’s save our burning for the fire within. Let’s decide to take a moment, exactly when we feel the urge to plow ahead...when we know we should take stock, take inventory, take a breath, first. Breathe. Again. Breathe. Again. How does that feel?

Remember last week’s mantra? Success = when preparedness meets opportunity (words of the great Melinda Cohan)? When you take that moment, and, find you are all set, great! It only took a moment. When you take a moment and realize you are needing a few more things, YES it takes time to get those things together…and again, this practice will ultimately save you time.

identify what you love. what you really want, what might success feel like to you;
discover when you are running ahead when you might be better off organizing behind the scenes;
learn when and how the time is right and ripe for you to allow opportunity to meet you
